I’ve been a World of Warcraft player for a long time. People ask me how long I’ve played WoW and I lie, because most people think it’s unhealthy to be continously involved in a game as long as I have. I haven’t been around long enough to remember that plague that escaped one of the instances and wiped out newbie players in major cities and attracted world attention as a model for viral containment. But almost that long.
I began on Thorium Brotherhood. I spent about a year there. I fled the world of roleplaying (and deleted everything I had) and came to Gnomeregan where I stayed until August of 2008. I’m currently playing on Bloodhoof with the coolest bunch of people in the galaxy.
I have played every class and every race (maybe not every class/race combination) at least once. I have experience on both the Horde and Alliance sides, but I have been predominantly “an Alliance person” from the beginning.
I’ve gotten three characters to Level 70 (and one to Level 60 before The Burning Crusade came out). A subtlety rogue, a marksman hunter, a restoration shaman, and a protection paladin respectively. I’d also note that I leveled the shaman and the paladin “from scratch” in those specs and did not use “a levelling build” and then switch. Real Men Level Resto. Enough said.
I’ve written for a couple of different places you’ve probably heard of (but probably shouldn’t name) and been on a couple of podcasts you’ve probably listened to. I have been an active blogger (in fits and spurts) for over five years in various places. I was a bulletin board operator in my childhood years before the internet caught on.
The prior incarnation of this blog (and three years worth of articles) is at http://gnomergweedo.blogspot.com. I love Blogger and appreciate their service, but… WordPress just kicks its butt!
Enough of my credentials. Enjoy the blog!
